Happy Friday, Oppo. In that spirit I drove the Pajero to work today. It had been in the garage all week and hadn’t been driven since running around doing errands last weekend, so it felt like it was time to give it some exercise.
One of the advantages of having a building to myself at work is that I make the executive decision to park in the covered wash bay, which means shaded parking most of the day.
Most of my free time and money the last few weeks has been spent on the bike, but the jag got some love in the form of a bath last night after work. It’s due for a full Svending, but that’s going to have to wait until a weekend where highs of 105 degrees aren’t in the forecast. A wash will have to do for now. Until monsoon season fires up later this month and cools things down, we’ve entered the hottest part of the year in Southern NM.
I really should post more about the Jag, because it is a fantastic car that I really like driving to work everyday. Even being just the baby Jag, it still feels just a little special every time I get in it.

No, the smaller 31x10.5r15. It may get the the 31.5 on the next set of tires. I haven’t seen anything even close to rubbing on these.
Then again, for what I'm doing I haven't yet found myself in a situation where more tire or clearance was needed. The geometry on the truck is very good.

I always work inside the garage except for the actual wash, but even with in the shade with the doors open and ceiling far moving some air around in the garage is no fun when it's that hot . It’s hard not to drip sweat on the paint as I’m working at those temperatures.

Or when the sweat drips onto the inside of my glasses or into my eye (it stings like hell).
I’d love a garage.

Hey, what does it look like when using that fender mirror. I’ve always wondered if they were too far to see anything out of. Are they useful or is there an actual side mirror on the driver side?

It has normal mirrors on both doors . The fender mirror is convex and shows you what would normally be in your blind spot immediately next to the truck (especially a smaller, lower vehicle or motorcycle).

Do you have to make an effort to see or is it fairly conveniently placed? The size seems so much smaller than regular mirror.

It is pretty natural to look at, especially since driving on our side of the road you're kind of generally gazing a bit to the left anyway.

You should upgrade the wheels to the RSPEC wheels the higher trim Jags have!

If I came across a set cheap enough on eBay or something I would consider it.
